How billing works
What counts as one SMS
One SMS is up to 160 characters. Longer messages are split into 160-character pages and billed per page, so a 200-character message to 100 recipients costs 200 credits rather than 100.
No surprise charges
The exact cost — recipients × pages × GHS 0.04 — is shown before you send. If a message cannot leave the platform, the credit returns to your balance automatically.
Payment methods
Payments are processed in Ghana cedis through Paystack: MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, and Visa or Mastercard. Credits appear on your balance as soon as payment is confirmed.
The same price to every network
Some providers charge a different rate per network. WHISPER does not — MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo all cost GHS 0.04.
If the rate changes
Credits are counted in messages, not in cedis. If the published rate ever changes, credits already on your balance keep their full value — 5,000 credits still sends 5,000 messages. The rate above has been in effect since .
